Cloud Chaser
04:07
|
|||
Once they’ve hit the ground,
Rain and tears look the same.
But you can tell everyone
That you’ve been under a dark cloud these days
See you gather stones, look for ground that
Seems familiar
Build a little island, tell yourself it
Makes you feel better, ah
Cloud Chaser,
Standing in the rain.
Soul waster,
Cloud Chaser.
Do you miss the sun
when you see your shadow fading?
Do you surround yourself with yourself
And tell yourself it’s just a cloudy dream?
See you gather bones, look for names that
Seem familiar
Hold a little silence till it all falls down
Around your shoulders, ah
Cloud Chaser,
Standing in the rain.
Soul waster,
Cloud Chaser.
There’s a storm that’s comin’ in,
And the rain is comin’ down.
There’s a storm that’s comin’ in,
And the rain is comin’, fallin’, pourin’ down.
Cloud Chaser,
Standing in the rain.
Soul waster,
Cloud Chaser.

Canaan's Wall
04:35
|
|||
The last stone up is first to fall when I’m building Canaan’s wall.
I try to run before I crawl in the shadow of Canaan’s wall.
I hold tight what you set free. This world will be the end of me.
Is there more than what I see? But Canaan’s always calling me.
If I try to keep it close, I may lose what I love most…
You are my Canaan, you are my promised land.
You are the earth beneath my feet, you are the answer in my hand.
But my heart is holding fast, afraid to fall, like a stone in Canaan’s wall.
Flame to ember, ash to dust, fall to winter fades.
To your Canaan, I entrust my hope for better days.
If I try to keep it close, I may lose what I love most…
You are my Canaan, you are my promised land.
You are the earth beneath my feet, you are the answer in my hand.
But my heart is holding fast, afraid to fall, like a stone in Canaan’s wall.
Born to gather stones to build this fortress,
‘Round my heart it goes in shade of darkness,
Though I hear you calling, is Canaan calling?
You are my Canaan, you are my promised land.
You are the earth beneath my feet, you are the answer in my hand.
But my heart is holding fast, afraid to fall, like a stone in Canaan’s wall.

Free
04:46
|
|||
I wake up an older man,
The earth breathing under me
Search my reflection
For something that I’d rather see
I lay down my head a while,
Let the sun wash over me
My heart even cracks a smile
At the sight of this beautiful tragedy.
Are you ready, are you ready
To set yourself free?
I hold on to something here,
Something that feels close to me
But the tighter I wrap my arms around it,
The farther I am from my destiny.
Are you ready, are you ready
To set yourself free?
I sit in this rocking chair,
Let the world wash over me
Beginnings were ended here,
And our time is not hard to see.
Are you ready, are you ready
To set yourself free?
To set yourself free?

I Was Never Much
04:18
|
|||
I was never much for love, but it found me anyway,
Faster than I found myself.
I was never much for grace, couldn’t give up my old ways,
Kept a part of me up on the shelf.
I was never much for peace, always had to fight my way
Down the roughest roads all by myself.
I was never much for hope, always found it hard to pray
Always wonderin’ if I knew the words to get my feelings heard
But now’s the time to take a chance
To make a change, and find out…
if this love is the one that I’ve been waiting for, for so long.
It’s changing me already, and this love is the part of me that’s missing
Oh my God, it is so strange, that I’m so afraid to change, it’s only love.
I was never much for faith, had to see it to believe,
Until my eyes deceived me once again.
I was never much for truth, what a tangled web I weave
Always wonderin’ if I knew the words to get my feelings heard
But now’s the time to take a chance
To make a change, and find out…
if this love is the one that I’ve been waiting for, for so long.
It’s changing me already, and this love is the part of me that’s missing
Oh my God, it is so strange, that I’m so afraid to change, it’s only love.
And if this love is the one that I’ve been waiting for, for so long.
It’s changing me already, and this love is the part of me that’s missing
Oh my God, it is so strange, that I’m so afraid to change, it’s only love.

Mystery
05:02
|
|||
Two worlds apart,
In a world of one.
Engaged in arms
Do battle for the morning sun.
It’s Mercury and Neptune
On dry land.
Still the battle rages,
And the one becomes two.
In separate cages,
Held only by dividing lines.
The working of your mind,
Becomes you.
As I unfold the mystery,
I know the answer’s gonna come
I’m not tryin’ to change my world.
But I’ve come undone.
No common ground
Between them lies,
No purchase found
Their foothold slipping as they fall.
It’s Mercury and Neptune
Hand to hand.
As I unfold the mystery,
I know the answer’s gonna come
I’m not tryin’ to change my world.
But I’ve come undone.
Am I a mystery?
Or a battleground?
My amnesty
is on common ground.
As I unfold the mystery,
I know the answer’s gonna come
I’m not tryin’ to change my world.
But I’ve come undone.
